Elizabeth Joanna Mitchell is an American actor from the United States. Born on 27 March 1970, she stands 5'9 tall. She is best known as the role of Dr. Juliet Burke in ABC's Lost TV show and FBI agent Erica Evans in V. Gia as well as The Escape Clause. Mitchell is a character in the Eric Kripke television series Revolution which airs on NBC. Joseph Day Mitchell is her stepfather, and Josephine Marian Mitchell (nee Jenkins), her mother are both lawyers from Dallas. Mitchell along with her mother moved from the city of their birth to Dallas Texas, where she married Joseph Mitchell. Mitchell graduated from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts an all-public magnet school. Mitchell is the oldest of her three sisters, her two sisters are Kristina Kristie Mitchell (the the tiniest) as well as Katherine Day Kate Mitchell. In 1991, she graduated at Stephens College with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting and she was also enrolled at the British American Drama Academy.Mitchell worked for a period of six years at Dallas Theater Center and a time in the Encore Theater. She currently is known for her role as the role of Special Agent Emily Prentiss on the CBS crime drama Criminal Minds. It was reported in June 2010 that Emily's character would be reduced in the sixth season of Criminal Minds. Brewster was removed from the show in March 2011 and she is expected to come back at a future date.
