Lady Gaga, also known by Stefani Joanne Angelina Deutschlandotta began her career in burlesque and musical theatre in New York's East Village. After struggling for several years, she finally made it big in 2005 when she released her first album and composed songs for Fergie, Britney Spears and the Pussycat dolls. The constant touring she did in Europe as well as smaller clubs across the US resulted in a huge increase in sales at the close of 2009, a variety of tracks from the album became regular fixtures on the radio and she was a recipient of multiple Grammy nominations, and two Grammy Awards, for all of her dedication and perseverance. She continues to make great music and made headlines since then.
